The Lovely Melanie is quite unwell and I’ve had to stay home from work to look after the girls.  It’s quite hectic; I am hoping the Lovely Melanie is a bit better tomorrow so I can go back to work.

Despite all the stress I still haven’t bitten my nails.  That’s over a week now!

Actually, it hasn’t been that stressful.  Once I’d dropped Millie at nursery it was just me and the Bubbah, and she still sleeps for about half the day (so I finally got to watch the end of The Devil’s Whore, which I’d recorded ages ago).  When she has been up the Bubbah has been a joy to be with: burbling and a-singing to herself and to me, and often making sounds that, to my ear, seem quite purposeful, not just random syllables and exclamations.  She doesn’t like going on buses, which was a shame since traffic was abyssmal on the way to pick Millie up from nursery and we were stuck on the bus for an awfully long time.

Bubbah spent the rest of the day rolling and pushing herself around the floor and doing lots of walking, something she can’t get enough of at the moment.  She’ll very deliberately hold her hands out to grab yours so you can lift her up and support her as she wobbles about the house, sounding oh-so excited as she does so!
