Millie has glasses!

We saw the eye surgeon at the hospital today (one of the least helpful medical people I’ve ever met – verging on actual rudeness). He diagnosed Millie as short-sighted, but also said that the glasses for this should cure her squint without the need for any surgery.

So we took her to Bexleyheath this afternoon with the prescription Dr Obnoxious wrote and before you know it, Millie’s got a pair of glasses!  Just like her dad!

Well, quite different from mine, really.  They do look very nice though – making her, if anything, even cuter than she already was. :-)

Millie was more excited about getting a colourful case to keep her new eye wear in, but was ever-so ever-so good about the whole business and we’re desperately proud of her.  I’ll try and get a photo on here tomorrow, but it was mayhem here tonight, what with grandparents Skype-ing us left, right and centre trying to see their ‘Lays in her new specs.

Message for my mum and dad, too – whilst on Skype I said I hadn’t seen Bubbah doing any proper crawling yet.  Five minutes after we finished talking guess who was motoring her way along the landing and back?

Yeah, you guessed it – the Bubbah!  Making a fool of her daddy, whatever the weather. ;-)

The Lovely Melanie and I have just watched Let The Right One In, and for anyone who enjoys intelligent, subtle horror that makes you think a little bit – and if you don’t mind subtitles – then this is a rare treat for you.  In fact, we enjoyed it so much that I’m thinking we really ought to fork out the cash for a proper copy of it on DVD, since we had an illegal download.

p.s. I’m truly sorry about the punning title…
