(this entry’s slightly misleading as there’s no blood involved at all)
I just got back from the Bloodmobile on Oxford Street having been told that type 1 diabetics are NOT allowed to give blood.
And my boss, who came with us, was also turned down, having only got back from the USA a fortnight ago.
Dang, but the National Blood Service are picky!
Still, as the Lovely Melanie pointed out, I can say “I tried” and look terribly sad that they refused to stick a needle in my arm and drain a pint of blood from my body.

They still won’t let me give blood over here because I lived with YOU! (that and the mad cow thing)

That’s what they SAY, Mart – I’m more inclined to think it’s because they don’t want your pernicious influence spreading further (that and the fact that you’re a notorious goddamn boozehound)

It has been suggested that my blood runs about 40 proof.
