I can tell which of my children is out of bed at night simply by listening to their footsteps. Sadly, this feat isn’t quite as creepy/amazing as it sounds.
Millie can hardly be heard at all – I’ve got up to use the loo before and nearly sat on her on the toilet. She’s stealthy.
Amber, on the other hand, is hard to miss. She may be small, but when she gets out of bed there’s a THUD as she lands on the floor, followed by a STOMP-STOMP-STOMP-STOMP-STOMP as she – ahem – scampers to the loo.
