On the same day that one of Amber’s bennies on a bus got so out of proportion that the bus driver stepped out of his cubicle and told her to be quiet as he was trying to concentrate on driving a bus (the Lovely Melanie wasn’t sure if he was being serious or merely trying to scare Amber; if it was the latter he did it completely dead-pan) Millie got the latest in a line of glowing reports from her teacher, Mrs Childs, at parents evening, saying how well she’s doing and how much they enjoy having her in the class. 🙂
(Phew, was that sentence too long?)
Well done, Millie. Not so well done, Amber.
Oh, that reminds me. When getting Amber ready for school the other day I noticed that her hair needed a brush putting through it. Then I noticed the hairclips: One. Two. Three. Four. Five of them.
I removed those and commenced combing but there was a terrible knot in the back of her hair. Nope, not a knot. Another hairclip.
And another knot… Nope, another hairclip.
Amber doesn’t like to do things by halves.
