The Tablet

I picked the girls up from school today – as I do every day since I’m still working from home full-time.

I was stood outside Amber’s classroom and saw Millie come sprinting across the playground towards me.  She runs all the way, drops her bag at my feet, gasps “Look after my bag, I forgot my violin!” and runs off.

Amber waves at me from the door of her classroom, is released and scampers into my arms with a huge smile on her face.

“Daddy!”

“Hello, little one!”

“Can I go on the tablet?”

“What?”

“Millie was on it this morning and I didn’t get a go and so it’s my turn now and I asked first so can I go on the tablet, please?”

“The tablet?”

“Yes.”

I, for one, welcome our new tablet overlords.
