You've stumbled into the remarkable world of Stuart Carter: writer, husband to the Lovely Melanie and father to Millie and Amber.

We all live a house on the edge of London, and I make a living in digital content with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

I'm also a freelance writer, sometimes.

It's been a turbulent few years - tragedy struck early in 2011 when my younger brother died very suddenly and unexpectedly; my dad had a heart transplant in 2008 - he's still fit and well.

I used to have another website. It's all dark and quiet there now, but many hundreds of reviews remain there, which is how all this got started back in 2002.

Almost 20 years later I continue to write about parenting, London life, books, science and more...

Barrett's Mandrake Embrocation cures pretty much anything, but is especially effective at curing ALL headaches instantly. My guess is it does that by rendering you unconscious. And that's probably why it's in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Museum rather than your local chemist's today. #rpharms

More wonders from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Museum today. I strongly doubt that Dr Davis was a woman so what his "famous female pills" actually do is anyone's guess. Most likely something to do with "nerves" or "hysteria". 🙄
When your children send you pictures of their day out with grandparents and you're unsure if they're trying out jetpacks or visiting a model village...
