Nice to meet up with Conny and my our friend R(ich) Kelly in the West End yesterday. Nothing fancy – Conny was in town for a conference, so we met up for a drink and a decent pizza, just spending a few hours chatting, drinking and eating – one of life’s less showy but very vital pleasures.
At one point Conny leaned over and said “Trev would have been so proud of you,” which left me surprisingly touched. “Surprisingly” because…well, I’m not aware of having done anything to be proud of except try to be a help for my family and carry on as I think Trev would have wanted me to.
But if Conny says Trev would have been proud – and she knew him better than anyone – then thank you, Conny – that means a lot to me.
